Your Opportunity

At Blue Prism we’re going through an exciting period of growth, and are now exploring opportunities for a potential secondary listing in the United States. We have a fantastic opportunity for a US SEC Reporting Analyst to join the Finance team, to add SEC reporting experience. Given the fast-paced nature and variety of the Finance department, there will never be a dull moment in the role.

This role offers a mix of both technical and commercial responsibilities, has high visibility to senior management and collaborates closely across a number of different functions. The responsibilities for this role will be split 60% : 40% between:

  • Supporting the Group Finance function in technical matters and regulatory reporting; and
  • Supporting the SVP Finance Americas with monthly reporting for the Americas region You must possess strong communication skills and be an ambitious and hard-working individual looking for your next challenge. This role will suit a proactive individual that has the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Supporting Group Finance:

  • Preparing periodic filings with the SEC, primarily Forms 10-K and 10-Q, including footnotes and Management’s Discussion and Analysis
  • Assessing the impact of any GAAP differences between US GAAP and IFRS
  • Support the XBRL tagging of financial statements to ensure accurate and compliant filings
  • Researching technical queries, analyzing disclosure impacts, and contributing to accounting papers for the Audit Committee, Board and Senior Management
  • Remaining up to date with on-going developments in SEC regulations and FASB codifications
  • Working with the wider Finance team to understand transactions that may impact the financial statements
  • Liaising with external auditors, ensuring audit requests are provided and keeping track of key issues
  • Coaching and support to wider Finance team on technical issues, and more broadly with CPD and upskilling
  • Other ad-hoc projects as required
  • Assist in preparation, completion and review of month end accounts for Americas region
  • Monthly variance analysis for actual results against budget and forecast
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of each local subsidiary’s accounting records
  • Assist in providing information and documentation to internal audit requests
  • Implementing new processes and improving current procedures to support development of our control environment and drive efficiency

Supporting Americas Region:

  • Assist in preparation, completion and review of month end accounts for Americas region
  • Monthly variance analysis for actual results against budget and forecast
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of each local subsidiary’s accounting records
  • Assist in providing information and documentation to internal audit requests *Implementing new processes and improving current procedures to support development of our control environment and drive efficiency

Requirements

Your Experience

  • Experience of US GAAP, PCAOB auditing standards and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience of Group accounts and dealing with multiple subsidiary companies
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage ones’ own time and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of operating in a tight control environment
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and implementing new ways of doing things
  • CPA qualified
  • Have a good working knowledge of Excel and other tools
  • Experience with IFRS reporting standards and analyzing GAAP differences
  • Have worked within the software or technology sector
  • NetSuite experience
